Enable Nokia lumia or windows mass storage
Mass storage mode as most of you know is when you connect your phone to your PC and use it similarly, to an external hard-drive, which enables you to drag and drop files without the need for a third party software (such as Nokia Suite, Zune, iTunes etc) . But, some phones like Nokia lumia series or any phone coming with windows operating system can only transfer music, videos or any data with a software called - ZUNE. Most people find its iritating because Simplicity is better than anything. Todays post is all about how to enable USB storage device in these phones and enjoy like other phones, pemdrives, memory cards (external drives).

Steps And Screenshots:
                    
                               First, Connect your phone with ZUNE as you always connect.



Press Win+R or Open run dialog box from start, and write regedit.exe and open it.



In the left pane of registery editor click
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Enum > USB


Right click USB and click Find - Write ZuneDriver and find.


Select Device Parameters from left pane and edit three things in right pane.


    In the right pane double-click the registry value called:
  • EnableLegacySupport : Change its value from 0 to 1 .
  • PortableDeviceNameSpaceExcludeFromShell : Change its value from 1 to 0 .
  • ShowInShell : change its value from 0 to 1 .

"Now remove the Device you connected with zune and Re-insert It. You will find mass storage of device in My computer as Portable Device".
